About This Report

2022 Asia University Sustainability Report

Compilation Spirit and International Frameworks

Asia University has compiled this Sustainability Report in the spirit of openness, transparency, and honest disclosure. This year's report has been meticulously prepared in strict accordance with the latest GRI Universal Standards 2021 guidelines issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Concurrently, we implement the AA1000AP Accountability Principles, encompassing the four core pillars of "Inclusivity, Materiality, Responsiveness, and Impact." This systematically demonstrates our phased achievements and commitments to the public in areas such as sustainable governance, talent cultivation, public engagement, and smart campus operations.

Reporting Period for 2022

This report utilizes a "dual-track disclosure system" combining both academic and calendar years:
Academic Year Data: Academic Year 110 (August 1, 2021 – July 31, 2022)
Calendar Year Data: Calendar Year 2022 (January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022)

Data Collection Scope and Materiality Assessment

The scope of data collection for this report encompasses the main campus of Asia University, its affiliated hospital, and the Asia University Museum of Modern Art. Except for financial figures, which are presented as consolidated data, all other operational information excludes the daily activities of the university's affiliated institutions (the hospital and the museum), thereby clearly defining the core boundary of our sustainability impact.

Through in-depth stakeholder engagement and materiality matrix analysis conducted for 2022, a final resolution was passed at our executive management meeting to disclose 12 core material topics, fully aligning with our sustainability objectives across the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) spectrum.
