亞洲大學、中國醫藥大學系統學校「中亞聯大」,「2023永續發展學習週」13日在中醫大揭幕,今年以「氣候變遷X健康X青年行動」為主題,透過一系列相關的社會責任計畫、研究、電影、倡導行動分享,兩校的社會責任計畫成果、永續發展議題交流,期望同學能將氣候變遷、健康與自身所學結合,在生活中實踐。
The "2023 Sustainable Development Learning Week," joint-organized by the "China-Asia University System" (comprising Asia University and China Medical University), was inaugurated at CMU on November 13th. Themed around "Climate Change x Health x Youth Action," the event features a series of project outcomes, research presentations, film screenings, and advocacy sharing sessions. By exchanging ideas on University Social Responsibility (USR) results and sustainability issues, both universities hope students can connect climate change and health with their respective disciplines to take practical action in daily life.
台中市政府環保局副局長商文麟受邀以「城市治理的觀點談淨零」分享台中市爭取為環保署核可的「中部低碳示範城市」、訂定推動低碳城市自治條例、經健部核定全國首件「電動公車先行運作示範計畫」的歷程。
Wen-Lin Shang, Deputy Director-General of the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Taichung City Government, was invited to deliver a speech on "Net-Zero Emissions from the Perspective of Urban Governance." He shared Taichung's milestone journey, including securing approval as the "Central Taiwan Low-Carbon Demonstration City," enacting autonomous regulations to promote low-carbon urban environments, and obtaining the nation's first ministerial approval for the "Electric Bus Pilot Operation Demonstration Project."
亞大副校長暨永續長吳聰能表示,永續發展是當前人類最重要的課題,身為高等教育機構的一員,「中亞聯大」部署響應大學社會責任。值得欣喜的是,亞大今年在台灣永續能源研究基金會舉辦的評比中脫穎而出,獲頒永續綜合績效類「績優學校獎」;在永續報告書的評比中,也獲得銀獎殊榮。未來兩校將持續攜手合作,擴大「中亞聯大」的社會影響力。
AU Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Tsung-Neng Wu expressed that sustainable development stands as humanity's most crucial challenge today. As part of higher education institutions, the "China-Asia University System" has proactively deployed initiatives in response to University Social Responsibility. He joyfully shared that Asia University excelled in this year's awards hosted by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE), winning the "Outstanding University Award" for corporate sustainability performance and a Silver Award for its Sustainability Report. Moving forward, both universities will continue their close collaboration to expand the social impact of the alliance.

亞大食品安全檢測中心主任蔣育錚主任談「食品安全與淨零碳排的迫切危機」,氣候變遷不僅影響全人類的環境,更對食品安全構成威脅,全球面臨氣候變遷、食品安全與淨零碳排的迫切危機,必須從食品生產及供應鏈、消費端等角度出發,採取可持續方式來降低碳排。
Director Yu-Zheng Jiang of the AU Food Safety Inspection and Center addressed the topic of "The Urgent Crisis of Food Safety and Net-Zero Carbon Emissions." He noted that climate change not only affects the global environment but also poses severe threats to food safety. Facing this overlapping global crisis of climate change, food security, and net-zero demands, stakeholders must implement sustainable practices across food production, supply chains, and consumer endpoints to lower carbon footprints effectively.
亞大幼教系陳麗前老師,以教育部補助的「永續教育.學習不孤單:偏鄉AI雙語學伴培育」USR計畫,分享偏鄉教育的執行困難與突破,計畫重點在培育亞大生成為學伴,透過AI雙語學習平台的教材與學習互動,陪伴偏鄉及中央社區偏高中小學學習第二外語,並融入永續的教學觀點,讓學習不孤單,學習永續,學習進步。
Professor Li-Chien Chen from the AU Department of Early Childhood Education introduced the Ministry of Education-funded USR project, "Sustainable Education • Never Alone in Learning: Cultivating AI Bilingual Companions in Rural Areas." She shared the challenges and breakthroughs in executing remote education. The project centers on training AU students as learning companions. Through the curriculum and interactions of an AI bilingual platform, they assist students in remote schools and central communities with second-language acquisition. By embedding sustainable education philosophies, the project ensures learning is a supportive, progressive, and everlasting journey.
亞大護理系林君黛老師,談亞大護理學院自107年度起陸續獲教育部補助的「永續高齡失智友善包容社區:醫療x博物館處方箋」種子型、萌芽型及深耕型USR計畫,讓失智長輩以個人或團體形式,免費進入美術館、博物館、工藝館觀展及進行課程體驗,改善失智長輩抑鬱、焦虑和認知功能,營造文化平權、社會共融環境,善盡社會責任。
Professor Chun-Tai Lin from the AU Department of Nursing discussed the series of USR projects titled "Sustainable, Dementia-Friendly and Inclusive Communities for the Elderly: Medical x Museum Prescriptions," which have received successive MOE grants since 2018. This initiative allows elderly individuals with dementia to visit art galleries, museums, and craft centers for free, either individually or in groups, to engage in tailored workshops. The program effectively alleviates depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline in seniors, creating a culturally equal and socially inclusive environment that exemplifies the university's dedication to social responsibility.
