University Social Responsibility, USR
Social Responsibility & Sustainable Development
Asia University has long identified talent cultivation, knowledge innovation, and social responsibility as its three core missions. In terms of education, our aim is to provide students with professional expertise while fostering their development into social elites who care for local communities and enhance social well-being. Consequently, the university encourages faculty and students to integrate teaching and research capabilities to serve society and fulfill the university's commitment to social practice.

Sustainable Age-Friendly & Dementia-Inclusive Communities: Digital Innovation × Cognitive Care × Social Inclusion
Since 2018, the College of Nursing has undertaken the Ministry of Education's USR project, deeply rooted in Wufeng for eight years. The current phase expands to Dali, Wuri, and Caotun, integrating 5 colleges, 7 departments, and 3 university units with 146 external partners. We established Wufeng's first dementia care center "Beiliu Memory Station," which won 2nd place in the 2023 Taichung Golden Care Awards. We also promoted "Art × Museum Prescriptions," receiving the 2025 Global Views USR Excellence Award. Through sustainable teaching innovation and local engagement, we cultivate cross-disciplinary talents in smart long-term care.
